[Syrupmakers] Planting Depth

Hello,
Our average last frost here us usually from april 1st
to mid april. I've had my cane banked all winter, but
it has been so unseasonably warm here that I'm afraid
to leave it much longer. I may plant it this
weekend.(unless some of you all think it's still to
early for me.) When I do plant it what would be the
reccomended depth. I'm sure I'll get quite a few
answers, but go ahead and shoot. I'll decide one way
or another.
