Oh ok. I thought you were saying you ran it faster than the 21 ft./min., but
you were saying faster than a mule. my mistake.

JT,

My king roller is running about 5.8 RPM, whch is about 18 linear ft. per
minute. I've seen 21 ft. per minute recommended. I don't "think" I'm loosing
any juice with this speed but I haven't ran any tests to verify that. I have
my output rollers set at about 3/32 inch 9 (I a wooden paint stirrer as a
gauge.) and I adjust the input rollers to accomodate the diameter of the cane.
I have several varieties of cane and adjust the input rollers as the size
varies.

the juice? Or do you sacrifice a little juice for speed? I'll be hooking up one
this summer with a motor, so I was just if it effects the output much.

at a faster speed than a mule or horse would operate it. The juice flow is
great enough that I have juice leakage along the sides unless I have the mill
outlet lowered. I have the outlet lowered about 3/4 inch and that works out
pretty well.
