[Syrupmakers] planting sugar cane

 Richard,
I didn't know that if the cane sprouted and a frost
came, that it wouldn't kill it. I have been putting
off my planting because our average last frost is
usually early to mid april. I've had my cane banked
since late nov. I almost planted it then according to
the info. that I've gathered from various places
(including this forum) but was very busy at the time.
I may try to plant mine this weekend. If I wait a few
more weeks, We'll be busy planting corn.
