Thanks for that info, Tracy.

Google turned up the Ruston Foundry and Machine Shop Inc. in Alexandria. 
The foundry manufactured steel, iron and other metals from 1908 to 1985.  It
is now one of  the EPA's Superfund sites.  Couldn't find any info on any specific
products made there.

These should make a couple of good projects by someone with some good sized
equipment to handle this kind of weight.
