[Syrupmakers] Sugarcane for Fuel in Alabama ??

Hi,
     Tonight I learned that some businessmen from Brazil have been in contact with the Governor of the State of Alabama concerning the possibilty of growing a million acres of sugarcane here for----biofuels. I understand the Brazilian businessmen would propose building processing plants here and buying cane from Alabama farmers to manufacture ethanol and perhaps other products also.
     If I hear any positive feedback concerning their visit, I will try to pass it on. They will reportedly visit large row crop farmers in South Alabama and visit a Sugarcane Research Station in LA. Tracy, if you will contact me I can give you some more info about the LA visit--should you be interested.
