[Syrupmakers] late sorghum

Jay,
I have planted as late as July 4, and processed on the 4th
of November. This was pushing my luck, but it did work.
We had a couple of light frosts that year before I cut the
cane, but no killing frost. The syrup was just fine, with no
difference, as far as I could tell.
I live in NC up near the VA line and over towards the coast.
Take care.
