[Syrupmakers] Kettle cooking help

I have several photos posted of mine in use at
http://www.southernmatters.com/sugarcane/BC-Making_syrup.htm

My ring is 4" tall, but I think that that is about 1/2" too high. My
kettle is a 60-gallon Kehoe and the correct height of the ring would
have to do with the angle and size of the kettle flange. It would be
interesting to see other comments.

I have tabs on my ring that fit down into the kettle and stabilize it a bit

Best wishes.
