[Syrupmakers] Use of Roundup on Sorghum

    We have gotten a little wet spell here in southeast Tennessee. My cane is about three feet high. I like to plant it very late to mature the last week of September. The moisture is really bringing out the crabgrass. Of course, it is no threat to the cane. I can sure live without all that crabgrass seed. I thought about spraying Roundup with a hand sprayer ( close to the ground of course ). Have any of you used Roundup on laid-by cane or corn. If I get some on the first few inches of the stalk near the ground will it hurt the cane ? Are there any safety issues ?
