Richard: The casting date on the mill is 1899. Probably changed by 1910. Thanks Clayton

Clayton,
I see several models of cane mills in Don's book that were made by Rumsey, namely : Rival, the Hero(in 6 models), the Rumsey(in 4 models), the Victor(in 7 models), the Mohawk(in 3 models), the Star and Tiger. These were apparently the ones in the 1910 catalog.
However, I note no mention of a Trojan.
I tried to look at Bill Outlaw's SouthernMatters site, but can't get it to load to see if Bill has anything on it.
                                                    Richard

My nephew has just purchased the mill that belonged to my father. We have been trying to purchase it for a few years. It is a Trojan mill made by Rumsey Co. in St.Louis. Mo. I have ordered Don's book and looking forward to see if there is any information about the mill. Thanks: Clayton (sorghum)
