Jay,
Drip tape works well for sorghum(instead of sprinklers). It uses less water and puts it where you want it. Cost is about 2 cents per foot of row for tape. I use it for all my sugarcane--although it hasn't been needed as much this season as last. Last season, it was BADLY needed.

Hello all,
My cane seems now to be really taking off. I know that
those of you who are in the lower regions have cane
that is probably twice as big, but I guess that since
I'm actually on the extreme edge of the of the growing
area, that I shouldn't expect any "CONSTRUCTION SIZED"
cane. My sorghum is really growing good too. It is and
has been very dry here. I have been using the
sprinkler heads quite a bit. If I get a chance this
weekend I'll take some pics. & put them on my flickr
photo page. Oh well gotta go for now.
