[Syrupmakers] Cost of Growing Sorghum

I guess i must have used a little too much seed on my acre at 3lbs It sure  
looks good even though we are in a slight drought. when will it get a sweet  
taste it is a bit bitter now. this is the first sorghum I.'ve planted. I  also 
have just lucked out and bought a golden 27 for $400. It's in great  condition 
with new bearings. the fella sold it to me as a syrup making item  not an 
antique or a money making proposition If there were more people like him  syrup 
making would not just be fun but it would be affordable too!.
