[Syrupmakers] Cost of Growing Sorghum - Herbicide

Are any of you using Pre or Post Herbicide on your Sorghum?  If so  
tell us more about it, what kind, how is it applied, etc.  Weeds are a  
big problem for me but I didn't think it was safe to use?
