[Syrupmakers] Two different questions

Greetings to all syrupmakers,
My first question, cut my cane in Dec. had some
medical problems, it hasn't frozen just dried out some
and tastes good when chewed, still worth cooking?
Second if the person who wants to make and end cover
for a Golden's 36 will let me know I could ship mine
while I rebuild this summer.
