[Syrupmakers] Syrup Taste-testing/Fellowship Meeting in Ozark, AL

      The Southern Syrupmakers Association of Blountstown, FL will be co-sponsoring a meeting with the County Extension Office in Ozark, Alabama on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the County Extension Office on Hwy 123 South at 10 a.m. Everyone interested in sorghum syrup and sugarcane syrup is invited. It is NOT necessary to be a member of the Association to attend or to bring syrup to the meeting. We require that all syrup be personally home-made and pure syrup. Several people have already indicated that they will have sorghum syrup for the meeting as well as sugarcane syrup. Syrup sales will be allowed after the meeting. An award certificate will be presented for the syrup that is voted as best-tasting by the public in attendance.
        A similar meeting is planned for Marianna, FL on the following week--tentatively, Thursday, January 17 at 6:30 p.m.
