JT,
   
  The kettle is subjected to a lot of heat.  The weld or brazing will be more critical to the kettle than the mill.  The mill and other parts that are not subjected to extreme heat do not require as much heat before you weld them.
   
  I am not that handy with a stinger in my hand as some others are.  I can do a bit of it but not anything to brag about.  I have always tried to learn and take in as much as I can about anything anyone does.  You can learn quite a bit if you will just pay attention to what someone else is doing.
   
  I don't think you will have any problems with your mill.  Looks are OK, but not worth a plug nickle when it comes to working.  I don't think you will have any problems with your mill.  Good Luck.
