Hello Dick,
Which do you like best out of that selection? I remember my grandpa used to
grow Charleston Gray and everyone swore by them. You do not hear of that
variety much anymore. I have not been fond of any black diamond I have had
in awhile.

Please be careful when putting poison in watermelons. Kids have been known
to slip in a patch at night and sample a few melons. I for one have done
it.
I raised some big watermelons this year, a lot of them thirty pounds and
over. I had charleston grey, blak diamonds, moon and stars, and crimson
sweet melons. We ate all we could hold and gave the rest away. Sure were
good.
My cane was doing real good until that four flusher, Fay came by. Now it is
laying in all directions.
I live just northwest of Atmore, Al.
