Bill, in reality there probably is no ideal time to hold any kind of meeting. we are a very busy people, with lots of things to do.

I am proud of you for the work you put into your program. You do the best you can, and thats all you can do/

question: Pastmaster123 of what?

Sam,

This weekend would probably have been a better time what with the Bluegrass Festival going on and all. I know we would have sold a lot more syrup with all of the people that have already come in to Perry. The place is full of RV's.

There were two family's that were coming but went to the fishing tournament instead. I know some of you think that if they cook syrup, they would come to the meeting instead of the tournament. WRONG! This was not a little dinky run of the mill tournament. It is one of the biggest in this area. The prize money is big. It did hurt the turnout. Some of the locals told me they would have come if it had been another weekend other than this one.

I had hoped to have a better turnout; however, I think the turnout was OK for this time of the year. After all, we signed up some new members.

There will always be something going on just about everywhere on any weekend. Around Perry, there are three weekends you do not want to plan anything on. One was this last weekend, big fishing tournament with big payouts, Florida Forest Festival and the Florida - Florida State football weekend. I just forgot the when the tournament was.

Regarding the other activities on your weekend, We had the same problem in DeFuniak. I dont know how, but our planning of which day to hold the tastin on needs more information and thought.

To All,

I returned the key to the County Agent yesterday and received a good response from him and his secretary. They said they had a good feedback from the people that were at the meeting. They told us to please let them know when we get ready to have another meeting and they would help us in promoting it. It always carries more weight when you have a County Agent asking you to attend.

There were too many things to compete with last weekend. We had a big fishing tournament here and there was Spring Time Tallahassee to contend with. I thought about having it this weekend but there is a big Blue Grass Festival this weekend in Perry.

Again, I would like to think each of you that attended and helped with the meeting.
