Darker? YES. It is very dark and has a slight red tint to it. But it's
done that all 3 years I've used the iron kettle. However, it doesn't seem
to affect the taste that much that I can tell. I just got finished jarring
up about 1/2 of what I cooked and I'm 1 qt shy of 12 gallons. That's all I
feel like doing tonight. I'll try to get some pics up in the next day or so
of the 2-1/2 day FIESTA.

Kevin: Does the kettle that you use for cooking make the sorghum darker?
I have always heard that cast-iron kettles makes sorghum much darker. I
use a s/s batch pan and have regular evaporator pan that we don"t use
