[Syrupmakers] The scoop on thinning cane

Well as a new syrup maker - maybe I should not chime in - but I will.  I 
did not thin and I think I should have.   My planting was very thick and 
I would up with many plants ready to harvest and quite a few not so 
ready.  If I had thinned I believe I would have had a much more 
consistent crop.  So I plan to thin next year.
