Hello All: We finished making sorghum at the farm on 10/21/07. This year was different than previous because we got it out later than usual and it was very, very dry. we raised rox orange and dale. the rox orange was about six to seven ft. tall and the dale was ten to twelve feet. We were surprised at the amount of juice we had from both varieties of cane because of the drought conditions. For some reason, the dale made much better syrup. We will probably stay with the dale next year. Any comments? We all had a very good time and we broke our attendance record of last year. We had 65 of our family, friends and neighbors there. (plenty of help) Looking forward to next year...........Clayton & Mary Lou Ralph
