We cooked our first sorghum Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. It turned out
better than I'd hoped, with the help of my mentor. We've made roughly 25
gallons so far, and we're going to fire up the mill and furnace again Friday
and Saturday, maybe Sunday. We're cutting the last of our cane today -- and
believe it or not, it's still really sweet, no starch problems yet. (Hooray
for planting late!)
This is a whole lot of work, but I'm glad we're getting into it.
