  Thanks Tracy. My uncle is in north La and I am in central texas. The one I remember caught my attention because I thought it was kind of central to both of us.  We have been cooking a couple years now and still learning! Our plans are to do our cook on Thanksgiving weekend after the hunters get that out of their system.

  - West Baton Rouge Museum (SugarFest) was 2 wks ago, (1st Sunday of Oct) http://www.westbatonrougemuseum.com/ 

  - Vermillionville (Lafayette, LA) was 2 wks ago (didn't cook this year, but syrupmaking is scheduled going forward - Dan Robert) http://www.vermilionville.org/ 

  - Laurel Valley Museum (Thibodaux, LA) is this Sunday (Typically 3rd Sunday of Oct)

  - E.D. White Museum is sometime in late Nov. / Early Dec. (exact date TBD)

   

  .Plus just about any wkend I can muster up enough juice/cane in Nov/Dec at my place - between Houma and Thibodaux, LA !;-)

  (About 50 miles SW of New Orleans)

  I remember a post by Richard I believe a week or so ago concerning syrup cooking dates.  Di you get any responses Richard? I remember someone in east Texas posting a date but I forgot the info. If anyone one remembers this please let me know.
