Bill,
I think this is a broom straw cutter for trimming the straw for brooms...I
think before (maybe after) the straw was tied.
I could be wrong, but I think I have seen one of these being used
somewhere???

Subject: [Syrupmakers] cane cutter?
Greetings,
A correspondent provided several images, which I have posted at:
http://bio.fsu.edu/~outlaw/shared/ID_this/
She has been told that the tool is a cane cutter. Any help with id'ing it
for her?
Thanks.
bill
