Tommy and DeLois,
Sorry you have had problems with posting to the list. Hopefully, you
won't have any more problems.
I am glad you have learned something from the list. I would guess we
all have, and most of us have more to learn.
Take care.
Ken

That is good to know. I have tried in the past to post a msg., but for some reason it was returned.
We live in So. Ga, 13 miles north of the FL/GA line. We have done 2 cookings this year and they turned out very good. We were quite pleased with our amateur syrupmakin..We cooked last year but we did not have good luck with it. Lots of problems..molded syrup, dirty looking syrup etc. I read the posting of others and they have added a lot to our knowledge of syrupmakin -from planting to cooking. thanks for all the valuable info.It is a lot of hard work but very rewarding to have a product you can be proud to say"I help make this". One thing we learned is not to cut the cane and leave it for an extended period of time..this year we cut one evening and cooked the syrup the next morning.
Syrupmakes, keep posting things you know or have learned..some of us are still in the learning process......
