Thanks for all your help.

Stacy have you made your syrup yet, if so how did the dry weather affect your cane?

Don my cane looks just like the POJ you have on your site.

Have any of you ever tried any of the Yellow Gal for syrup, if so what do you think of it?

Thanks again I really appreciate all of you help.

  Billy,
We have some Georgia red, Green, and POJ and usually make at least 1 80 gallon boiling of each. By far, we prefer POJ as it seems to give us a much milder tasting syrup that does not seem to sugar as quickly.

  Take Care!

I have a question for all of the makers of Syrup from Sugar Cane. What Varieties makes the best Syrup? I have some cane that I got from a family member that I have been growing for several years that I think is a POJ type cane. It makes good syrup but it breaks really bad if you cut it a week or two before grinding. Any suggestions will be appreaciated. I would like to try something new. Do any of you grow the CP 67-500?

Thanks to all that makes this site possible
