Loyd, I wouldn't worry about how fast to feed your mill if I was you.  After about 10 minutes of feeding you will be an expert.  Especially if you plug it.

     I measured the rollers the top roller is 10" wide and 9" in diamature. 
I would like input from any one who uses a horzintal mill about this size, 
how many stalks at time do you feed in it a time and what size the stalks
