I finally got my new chattanooga # 13 disassembled. did not break anything. the gears look really good. The shaft on the big roller has been broken and welded back in the past. looks ok. The big roller shaft is going to have to be turned on a lathe, to smoothe out, maybe built up. all the bearing boxes are in good shape. the bearings were brass on one side, lead on the other side. All the bearings will have to be rebuilt. I think the old owner tightened up too much, damaging the bearings. Is there anyone out there that rebuilds bearings. I am willing to pay for the service, if someone knows how, and can do the work. again, the mill is completely dissembled, and cleaned up. thanks, sam 850 892 7592, DeFuniak Springs. _________________________________________________________________ All-in-one security and maintenance for your PC.
