[Syrupmakers] hydrometer

Hello Melvin,
 I purchased my hydrometer from a maple syrup supply company. There are many on the web, www.atkinsonmaple.com is one supplier I buy items from. Be sure not to get the one for sap. www.maplemadness.com is another I have bought from. They have a similar process in making maple syrup, just a different raw product.

  Have seen information on hydrometers before on syrupmakers, but can not find it in the archives. Would like information and source of same. We have been using thermometers, have a fortune invested in them and have not been satisfied with the results. Any response will be appreciated.
