[Syrupmakers] miracles do happen

Today I found and purchased a Chattanooga Improved # 13 mill. It has not 
been used in about 25 years, has a broken bottom plate, (not critical to 
operations)
This proves miracles do still happen.
Does anyone know where I can find specific info about operations, and 
rebuilding??
I think it will work as is, after taking apart and cleaning, lube, and 
installation.
The first problem is that the top flange is stuck.
I need some suggestions on how to get it off.
have coated it with oil, letting it set for couple of days.
